Building a Strong Foundation® is an 8-week functional and specific, (one-hour) group strength-training program. The curriculum will focus on improving your resistance to injury by maximizing joint stability and improving your core strength, which relates directly to more efficient movement strategies.
Each week you will progress through more challenging drills and exercises and your instructor will give you specific exercises to practice at home to get the most out of your training!
To reach your true physical potential strength training is paramount, but it is also difficult to learn. We are here to teach you all the basics! This program involves learning about refinements you can make in your body position(s) and posture so that power can be initiated with fluidity. You will also develop higher levels of dynamic balance, which is enhanced by challenging the nervous system and the intrinsic stabilizing muscles.
Furthermore, the qualities of endurance, strength and power in the core will be improved through several exercise techniques that focus on function and control. You will leave this training program with increased training knowledge and improved functional strength!
Our instructors ALL carry university degrees and include registered kinesiologists, strength & conditioning specialists and physiotherapists. Human Motion also teaches this program to health professionals through a recognized certification; you are in exceptional hands!
